Kanawha County Circuit Judge resigned after she took responsibility for “bugging” her husband’s law office (1997)

Former Circuit Court Judge Lyne Ranson stepped down as a judge after taking responsibility for two tape recorders found in her estranged husband’s law office. Ranson signed an agreement with federal prosecutors that if she resigned, they would not prosecute her for the bugging incident.
