A native of Boone County and the daughter of a coal miner,
Robin Davis graduated from West Virginia University in 1982.
Justice Davis first ran for state Supreme Court in 1996
to fill a vacant seat. After winning a seat on the bench that
year, she left the firm she had started with her husband,
personal injury lawyer Scott Segal.
Justice Davis, the court’s member with the most seniority,
was elected again in 2000 to a 12-year term.
During her time on the bench, Justice Davis oversaw the
creation of the state’s Mass Litigation Panel.
